The Sauternes appellation is located to the South-East of Bordeaux, between two rivers (the Garonne to the North and the Ciron valley to the West) which influence the climate : the combination of damp mornings and hot, sunny afternoons favours the development of noble rot. The Sauternes Grands Terroirs are the result of a particularly strict selection procedure carried out by the Dourthe oenologists. The blend then creates a wine of character with its complex fruity notes. This Sauternes is remarkable for its very fine, complex bouquet with aromas of candied fruit, honey and acacia. On the palate, the wine reveals good structure and is wonderfully supple and fleshy.
